Didn’t see this coming, but the US Army has endorsed CAC card access for the Mac using the third party software ADmitMac for CAC by Thursby Software.
The latest TA (Technical Authority) adds the Apple Macintosh as a peer OS and as an alternative to Microsoft Windows XP. The new guidelines state that Thursby’s ADmitMac for CAC is required for all Army Macintosh computers to join Active Directory environments that require cryptographic login.
