Thrive Mix 02 - 3.5 Stars

After listening to the Thrive Mix 02 for a few days, I have to give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. While I like the unusual song selections (Coldplay, INXS, Rent) on the 2-disc set, I’ve heard better mixes. Some of the Thrive Mix 02 songs just seemed like BPM-revved up versions of the original songs. The best song I like is Britney Spears’ And Then We Kiss (Junkie XL Remix). This song has a smooth coolness about it. Not beat pounding like Toxic, but feels tingly cool like exhaling after eating a mint.

Would have given the set 3 stars, but I’ll give an extra half star for taking the challenge of mixing the featured songs.

If you’re looking for a better mix, give a listen to DJ Ricardo! Presents Out Anthems. Overlook the gay overtones cause the music is jammin’! I give this mix 4 stars.

3.5 wow that’s low. If you didn’t like that album try this album Trance Party, vol. 5

I enjoyed it while running around Diamond Head, Songs and Eye Candy really makes the run fun but dangerous at times. A word of advice, Watch out for stationary signs. he he
